Recently, it was revealed that the World project, led by Sam Altman, has verified over 10 million users. The World app has been downloaded more than 20 million times and allows users to verify their identities using biometric scans. Since its launch in May 2023, the project has expanded to over 160 countries.

Amid regulatory challenges, World is partnering with OpenAI to bolster its innovative solutions. The project also introduced the SMPC system to alleviate concerns regarding data collection and safekeeping.
