Doctor Wales was unveiled as an ambassador at the ongoing Digital Well-being Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. He shares this recognition with three other health experts.
Doctor Wales's Mission
Doctor Wales began creating content in 2018 and became an active TikTok creator about four years ago. His goal is to provide people with access to information that enables them to make better health decisions. He highlighted that his work is aimed at improving health literacy in Nigeria and inspiring people to change their health behaviors. He stated, 'It is a very humbling moment for me because of the work that we’ve been doing.'
Other Ambassadors and Summit Goals
In addition to Doctor Wales, the other appointed ambassadors include Claire Kinuthia from Kenya, and Doctors Siya and Sanam Naran from South Africa. The summit aims to engage content creators, media professionals, and mental health practitioners to address the challenges of overexposure to digital platforms.
