Donald Trump is set to speak at the Digital Asset Summit in New York City, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president has addressed a crypto conference.
Digital Summit Featuring Donald Trump
President Donald Trump will deliver a speech at the Digital Asset Summit (DAS) in New York City on Thursday, March 20, at 10:40 AM ET. This will be the first time a sitting U.S. president has addressed a crypto conference. The speech will take place at North Javits and will be streamed live on platforms X and YouTube.
Bitcoin at the Center of U.S. Financial Policy
The announcement comes after remarks from Bo Hines, Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisers on Digital Assets, who confirmed that the U.S. government is actively looking to acquire Bitcoin as part of the newly created Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Speaking at DAS on Tuesday, Bo told attendees that the president is focused on accumulating assets for the benefit of the American people. The Trump administration has made Bitcoin a central part of U.S. financial policy, and earlier this month, the president signed an executive order establishing the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
Speeches by Other Notable Participants
In addition to Trump, other notable speakers at the DAS will include Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy, discussing Bitcoin's role in corporate strategies. There will also be a panel discussion on Bitcoin ETFs and institutional use of cryptocurrencies.
Trump's speech at the summit in New York underscores the growing importance of cryptocurrencies in the U.S. national strategy and fosters active discussion among key industry players.
