Leading game studio Drift Zone has secured a $190,000 grant to integrate its gaming ecosystem with the Sei network. The studio is known for its popular Gacha games that have already attracted a massive player base in Asia.

Drift Zone, a studio creating the next evolution of games, has secured a $190,000 grant to integrate its games with the Sei network. Over 500,000 players are currently engaged in its Telegram mini-game Drift Zone: Arena. This move aims to expand the studio's audience and bring blockchain technologies into the mainstream.

Technical Advantages of Sei Network

The Sei network offers 380-millisecond block finality and can process up to 12,500 transactions per second. This allows Drift Zone to provide gaming experiences comparable to traditional Web2 games, but with Web3 benefits. According to Jason Lim, Global Gaming Lead at the Sei Foundation, the integration allows Drift Zone to enhance player engagement while maintaining high performance and seamless gameplay.

Future of Gacha Games with Real Rewards

Drift Zone aims to transform traditional Gacha games by adding real rewards for engagement. Vedran Sisak, Founder and CEO of Drift Zone, noted that players in Asia spend $4.4 billion annually on these games without receiving tangible rewards. With Sei's support, the studio seeks to change this approach by creating games that offer engaging experiences and real rewards.
