Dymension has announced the start of the second season of its Genesis Rolldrop, providing tokens to participants, including DYM stakers. This release coincides with the upcoming mainnet upgrade aimed at transforming Dymension into a universal settlement layer for all rollups.
Second Season of Genesis Rolldrop
The second season of Dymension's Genesis Rolldrop has begun, and during this period, users will once again be awarded tokens. Over $400 million in tokens were issued in the first season, and the second season promises to continue generous distributions among users interacting with the universal settlement layer for rollups.
Registration Process and Rewards
Users interested in participating in the Genesis Rolldrop can register through a series of waves, each designed for a specific set of eligible addresses. The first wave is open to Dymension community members who have staked DYM since June 2024 without unstaking. Subsequent waves will have looser criteria. Participants in this process will be rewarded with DYMONDs that can later be exchanged for DYM. Throughout the season, claim windows will open for swaps.
Supporting Developers and Ecosystem Growth
Dymension is also offering incentives for creators, encouraging the construction of new rollups that will leverage its universal settlement layer's security and liquidity. The Dymension Foundation is offering rewards of up to $10,000 monthly for builders. Developers aiming to create their own RollApp will be eligible for protocol grants.
The Beyond upgrade and the second season of the Genesis Rolldrop are expected to significantly impact the Dymension ecosystem, facilitating the launch of new rollups and enhancing their performance across various fields, including privacy and gaming.
