The hackers used the compromised account to promote a fake airdrop of EIGEN tokens linked to the stakeholder airdrop's second season. According to Scam Sniffer, a crypto anti-scam platform, the malicious link was marked as a token reallocation event. The initial fake post was followed by two more, including a 'final call' urging token claims. However, the legitimate claim period had expired, exposing the posts as phishing attempts.
