El Salvador and Paraguay signed an agreement to manage cryptocurrency activities and combat financial crimes.
Cooperation Between El Salvador and Paraguay
Last Friday, El Salvador and Paraguay signed an exciting agreement aimed at enhancing cooperation in cryptocurrency matters. The goal is to detect and control illegal crypto activities in Paraguay and improve efforts to fight money laundering. SEPRELAD and CNAD signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance collaboration between the agencies in the cryptocurrency sector.
Role of CNAD in Regulating Digital Assets
CNAD President Juan Carlos Reyes highlighted that El Salvador is paving the way in digital assets, building international partnerships for a more connected and transparent future. CNAD has created some of the most advanced crypto regulations worldwide, with its tech-focused approach praised by crypto companies.
International Cooperation Plans
El Salvador has already signed a similar agreement with Argentina in December. Reyes emphasized that CNAD has two main goals in international cooperation: sharing expertise to help other countries create well-regulated industries and expanding the global presence of El Salvador's regulated crypto companies.
The agreement between El Salvador and Paraguay solidifies efforts in cryptocurrency regulation aimed at curbing illegal activities and supporting financial transparency.
