Google has announced a preview of its enhanced AI model Gemini 2.5 Pro, which is considered to be the company's most intelligent model to date. This version is an improvement over the Gemini 2.5 introduced at the I/O developer conference in May.
Improved Performance Metrics
According to Tulsee Doshi, Google’s senior director of product management, the new Gemini 2.5 Pro model has made significant improvements in key metrics. The model achieved a score of 1470 on LMArena, which is 24 points higher than before.
Top Results in Tests
Gemini 2.5 Pro also performed outstandingly on WebDevArena, increasing by 35 points to 1443. This made it the leader for evaluating web development skills. The company claims the new model also demonstrated a high level of coding knowledge according to the Aider Polyglot test and excelled in other challenging tests like GPQA and Humanity’s Last Exam.
Future of Gemini and Insights
Google plans to make Gemini 2.5 Pro available to all users in the coming weeks, based on developer feedback. This release is part of the company’s efforts to enhance its AI system and compete with popular models like OpenAI's ChatGPT.
