These discussions emerged after Buterin criticized celebrity tokens, including Azalea's recently launched token called MOTHER, for their lack of practicality and absence of a meaningful purpose.

In a recent interview, Azalea expressed, 'I'm not perturbed by this individual's viewpoint. It's intriguing to ponder the allocation of gas money. It's quite presumptuous to critique charitable organizations and hospitals while disregarding the significance of gas fees.'

Azalea's comments faced strong opposition from the crypto community, especially Ethereum enthusiasts, who were astonished by her misunderstanding of the role gas fees serve in securing the Ethereum blockchain.

On a different note, some observers interpreted Azalea's lack of knowledge as a sign of a broader marketing challenge within the cryptocurrency sphere. Adam Cochran, a partner at Cinneamhain Ventures, remarked that Azalea's belief that Vitalik collects the fees encapsulates the marketing hurdle that the entire crypto industry confronts. Cochran highlighted the necessity of Layer 2 solutions for achieving widespread consumer adoption.

Despite facing criticism from Buterin and backlash from various corners of the crypto community, MOTHER has continued its remarkable ascent, recording a 24% surge in value in the past day. The Mother Iggy coin on the Solana blockchain has seen an extraordinary 848% increase since its launch at the end of the previous month.

This strong performance has significantly boosted the market cap of Solana meme coins, which surged by almost 3% in the last 24 hours to reach $8.8 billion, as per CoinGecko. Notably, Solana presales are also experiencing a surge, with the highly popular Sealana (SEAL) ICO successfully raising over $3 million and now offering potential investors a final opportunity to invest.
