Co-founder of BitMEX, Arthur Hayes, shared his views on the current state of Ethereum and Solana, as well as Bitcoin's future.
Ethereum's Prospects Compared to Solana
Arthur Hayes stated in an interview with Fortune that he believes Ethereum has a better performance outlook compared to Solana, mainly due to the negative sentiment surrounding it. Hayes highlighted that, despite the criticism, Ethereum still leads in total value locked and number of developers. 'If I’m gonna deploy a fresh unit of fiat capital into the system, I think that Ethereum could outperform Solana in this next sort of 18-24 months bull run.'
The Future of Bitcoin in Crypto Markets
Hayes also shared his predictions about Bitcoin, suggesting that its price could approach $200,000 in the next cycle before an altcoin season emerges. 'I think Bitcoin in this next little run could go close to $200,000, and then we’ll see some interesting things,' he noted. Hayes anticipates that by the end of the year, BTC may target $250,000.
Current Situation in Crypto Markets
Currently, Solana, primarily known for meme coins, has seen a decline in activity and revenue following its recent spike. Meanwhile, Ethereum has nearly doubled from its reduced price point, indicating potential for future growth. Unlike Solana, Ethereum continues to stand as the standard for decentralized finance and real-world asset tokenization.
According to Arthur Hayes, Ethereum's outlook could be more promising over the coming months compared to Solana, while Bitcoin's future also appears optimistic.
