European Venture Capital and Web3 Companies Collaborate to Establish Tectris

In an exciting development within the travel and hospitality sectors, key players such as ennea capital partners, Falkensteiner Ventures, Trips Community, and Chain4Travel have united to introduce Tectris. This initiative aims to support startups at the forefront of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and AI technologies, revolutionizing the travel industry. Tectris is leading the transition from the 'read' era of Web1 and the 'write' phase of Web2 to the decentralized 'own' phase of Web3, emphasizing concepts like tokenization, decentralized ownership, and automated trust protocols.

From June to November 2024, Tectris will carefully select 10 promising Web3 travel startups, providing them with a solid platform to grow. The program focuses on investing in open protocols, which form the core infrastructure of the entire Web3 travel industry, as well as in for-profit startups demonstrating successful use cases of Web3 in travel.

Luca De Giglio, co-founder of Tectris, expresses his excitement at the venture's potential: "With a diverse group of contributors, this accelerator and syndicate are positioned to empower startups by offering essential support. Through the Discord channel, Tectris evolves into an open-space incubator dedicated to fostering Web3 travel innovations.

Participants in the program can anticipate funding opportunities of up to €250,000, along with immersive coaching, industry expertise, and valuable partnership prospects with renowned names in travel and hospitality. The program is accepting applications from teams and individual founders at the concept or pre-seed stage in Web3, blockchain, and the travel, hospitality, and leisure sectors. This remote program has a registration deadline of July 31st, 2024. Semi-finals will be held in Umbria, Italy, during the Web3 in Travel Conference on September 3rd and 4th, 2024, with the finals scheduled for Q4/24 in Vienna, Austria.
