FLock Foundation joins forces with two renowned leaders in AI – Professor Zhang Zhao and Professor You Yang. Together, they will work to advance scalable decentralized learning for Large Language Models in alignment with the organization’s mission to democratize AI and foster ethical innovation.
Professor Zhang Zhao's Contribution
Professor Zhang Zhao, an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, is recognized for his expertise in large-scale machine learning. He focuses on bridging theoretical research with real-world applications. His notable accomplishments include the development of OpenFold, a highly efficient protein structure prediction model. Professor Zhang Zhao will join the Advisory Board of the FLock Foundation.
Professor You Yang's Role
Professor You Yang, a Presidential Young Professor at the National University of Singapore and founder of HPC-AI Tech, joins as a business partner. He is known for record-breaking achievements in ImageNet and BERT training speeds adopted by industry giants like Google and Microsoft. His LARS and LAMB optimizers have become industry standards for large-scale AI systems.
Partnering with Professors Zhang Zhao and You Yang will enable FLock Foundation to significantly strengthen its capabilities and advance in creating secure and accessible next-generation AI systems.
