In a recent interview, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson discussed plans to introduce free transactions via NFTs in the new Midnight sidechain.
The Idea of Free Transactions via NFTs
Charles Hoskinson revealed that users could perform free transactions through special NFTs, which would serve as access passes, allowing for a certain number of transactions per day without using ADA tokens. He compared this innovation to how Web2 platforms offer free accounts and services.
Midnight's Development and Features
Since the announcement of Midnight, the development of the protocol has been active. While the launch date has not yet been announced, there is already interest from developers, including participation in hackathons and community engagement. Midnight is designed to combine privacy and regulatory compliance through advanced tools like zero-knowledge proofs and smart contracts.
Community Statistics and Cardano's Success
According to a recent community survey conducted between December and January, 12% of respondents identified as blockchain developers. 39% described themselves as seasoned pros, while 46% considered themselves somewhat experienced. Only 15% said they were still learning. Additionally, Cardano's (ADA) price currently stands at $0.82, representing a 4.51% increase in the last 24 hours.
The idea of free transactions via NFTs could attract more users accustomed to Web2 services. Cardano continues to evolve, positively impacting its value and interest in the project.
