Ethereum developers have activated the Hooli test network to address issues encountered during initial Pectra testing.
Purpose of the Hooli Test Network
Hooli aims to be fully operational with the upgraded Pectra version by March 26, after which its performance and stability will be rigorously tested. The upgrade is expected to be rolled out roughly 30 days after this testing phase concludes.
Issues with Previous Networks
The creation of the Hooli test network was necessitated by configuration errors and disruptions experienced on the Sepolia and Holesky networks. Extended outages on Holesky significantly impacted the execution of Pectra tests, prompting the need for Hooli, which will focus on validator exit testing. Tim Beiko from the Ethereum Foundation emphasized Hooli's critical role in completing the Pectra testing process.
