Hyper Foundation has announced an increase in the number of nodes to 21 in the Hyperliquid network, allowing anyone to become a validator. This initiative aims to promote decentralization and safeguard the community.
Increase in Node Count to 21
Hyper Foundation has implemented 21 permissionless nodes, enabling anyone to register as a validator in the Hyperliquid network. The first 21 validators by stake now form the active set.
Delegation Program
The Foundation also launched a Delegation Program to enhance reliability and diversify its structure. Delegations are expected to go live in the coming days, aimed at encouraging high-quality validators.
Requirements and Recommendations for Validators
To participate, a minimum stake of 10,000 HYPE must be locked for one year, even if the validator does not enter the active set. The Foundation recommends starting with the testnet and undergoing KYC/KYB procedures. Participation from countries such as the U.S., Cuba, and Iran is prohibited.
The launch of the new nodes and the delegation program represents a significant step towards a more secure and decentralized Hyperliquid network, encouraging community involvement.
