Over 8.2 million tokens will be allocated to users who participated in the public testnets Artio and bArtio.
The Tokenomics of BERA
The BERA token will serve as the gas token for transactions and a staking token for securing the network. The token distribution categories include: 13.1% for community initiatives, 20% for research and development, 16.8% to initial core contributors, and 34.3% for investors. Additionally, 1.25 million tokens will be distributed to community members active on social platforms.
What is Berachain?
Berachain is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-identical blockchain integrating a unique PoL consensus, enhancing the security and scalability of the network. With the mainnet launch, Berachain aims to address the 'cold start problem,' offering meaningful interactions for users and applications from day one. Previously, Berachain successfully raised $142 million across two funding rounds.
The airdrop and mainnet launch mark a new phase in blockchain development, offering users opportunities for active participation and network interaction.
