The upcoming events scheduled for June 14 and 15, 2024 in Lugano will feature a range of festivals, including NFT fest for Web3 communities and NFT enthusiasts, TECH fest focusing on startups, investors, and technological advancements, and WUF exploring new art forms intertwined with advanced technologies.

Collectively forming the Lugano Digital Weekend, these festivals will animate the city and Canton Ticino with a plethora of activities. Through a partnership between FFS and Lugano Living Lab, participants can utilize event tickets as complimentary public transport passes within the Arcobaleno fare community, easing access to Lugano for individuals across Ticino.

The bustling town hall and Piazza della Riforma will serve as the core venues for the festivals, hosting enlightening keynotes, podcasts, and discussions involving prominent figures from the industry and influential personalities. The agenda will encompass discussions on pivotal tech topics and debates on the implications of technological advancements.

In addition to the main events, Lugano will unveil strategic initiatives aimed at attracting tech startups to the region, presenting innovative activities to bolster the ecosystem. Complementing the main events, a series of side activities will enrich Lugano's June atmosphere, offering a vibrant experience for visitors and locals alike.

Mayor of Lugano, Michele Foletti, praises the city's progressive stance on technological innovation and artistic creativity, underscoring Lugano's reputation on the global stage. Event organizer Roberto Gorini lauds Lugano's forward-looking approach to embracing new technologies, citing the city’s pioneering initiatives such as its native cryptocurrency, institutional blockchain infrastructure, and support mechanisms for startups and businesses.

Sponsored by leading operators like ICP, Polygon, Tether, and Cardano, with media backing from The Cryptonomist, Chainwire, Cointelegraph, and Money, the events are expected to attract a diverse audience. The comprehensive program from June 14 to 15 includes a myriad of events, from startup incubators and investor gatherings to specialized sessions on technology, investments, and fashion.

Highlighted events include the Lugano Incubator session for startups and investors, offering avenues for financial support, along with engaging sessions on new technologies and trends.
