Intmax, a new Ethereum Layer 2 protocol, has been officially launched by Ryodan Systems AG to provide users with low-cost and private payments based on Ethereum technology.
New Intmax Architecture
Intmax features a radically new architecture using Plasma, a concept first introduced in 2017. Unlike most Layer 2 solutions focused on scaling through compression and off-chain execution, Intmax requires only ~5 bytes of on-chain data per transaction. This makes it an effective and secure solution for Ethereum users.
Privacy Through Privacy Mining
Intmax introduces a Privacy Mining mechanism that rewards users for contributing to the network's privacy support. This model creates a synergy of anonymity and incentives, promoting a healthy and decentralized ecosystem.
Support from the Ethereum Community
The innovative architecture of Intmax has received endorsement from key figures in the Ethereum community. Justin Drake noted that "in some sense, Intmax is even more efficient than ZKRollup," while Vitalik Buterin stated that this solution combines the advantages of Plasma and rollups, with minimal data per user.
Intmax offers a new paradigm for Ethereum payments, combining low fees, high speed, and privacy protection. Its launch could mark a significant step towards broader blockchain technology adoption.
