HIVE Digital, through its subsidiary BUZZ HPC, has announced the acquisition of a new site in Toronto that will become their first Tier 3 data center focused on AI infrastructure.
Description of the New Data Center
The new data center will be upgraded to support liquid cooling systems and will house up to 5,000 high-performance GPUs. These upgrades will facilitate large-scale AI training and inference operations for both public and private sector clients across Canada.

Craig Tavares, president and COO of BUZZ HPC, emphasized the importance of building AI infrastructure within national borders. "With the explosion of demand for HPC and AI compute capacity, this Toronto site gives us a critical footprint," he stated.
The project ensures data residency and digital sovereignty by keeping AI infrastructure under Canadian ownership and control.
