The cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced a temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals for the altcoin IoTeX (IOTX) due to a scheduled network upgrade and fork.
Support for IoTeX Upgrade from Binance
Binance has decided to pause deposit and withdrawal services for IOTX to ensure the safe and smooth execution of the planned network upgrade on June 19, 2025.
Suspension of IOTX Transactions
Starting from 03:28 AM Turkish Standard Time (TST) on June 19, 2025, users will not be able to deposit or withdraw IOTX on the Binance platform. The suspension applies only to deposits and withdrawals, while trading of IOTX will continue uninterrupted.
Resumption of Transactions After Upgrade Completion
The network upgrade will begin once the IoTeX blockchain reaches block number 36,893,881, which is expected around 04:28 AM TST. The update process will be managed by the Binance technical team, and users will not need to take any additional actions.
Binance confirms that the exact time for resuming deposits and withdrawals will not be announced in advance and will depend on the stability of the updated IoTeX network. Transactions will resume automatically once its stability is confirmed.
