    Tavanir CEO Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi announced that a bounty of one million tomans, equivalent to approximately $24 at the current exchange rate, will be awarded for information on unauthorized cryptocurrency mining equipment.

Iranian authorities often announce the discovery of illegal miners, many of which operate out of schools and mosques.

    Iran aims to address energy supply issues caused by illegal crypto mining by offering rewards for information and tightening control over energy resources.
