Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin has suggested the possibility of SharpLink (SBET) releasing its crypto token, which could be a significant milestone for the company.
Potential Release of SharpLink Token
Joseph Lubin, chairman of SharpLink, noted that the company might consider the possibility of releasing its own cryptocurrency token. This aligns with the idea of tokenizing SBET stocks to mitigate risks associated with fraud. However, Lubin did not provide exact details, merely stating that the community could expect 'so much more.'
ConsenSys Initiatives
Lubin emphasized that all his decentralized initiatives could be underpinned by native governance tokens in the short and medium term. He pointed to the need for tokenization of current products and Web3 initiatives to ensure their interoperability.
Future of Other ConsenSys Tokens
Additionally, Lubin mentioned a planned rollout of ConsenSys tokens. The first in line will be the LINEA token, the governance token for the Ethereum Layer 2. Following that, DIN, a decentralized Web3 infrastructure platform expanding Infura's functionality, is also being considered. Amidst this, Ethereum's price shows growth, remaining above $2,533.
The potential release of the SharpLink token adds intrigue to the company’s future plans and broadens the horizons for crypto initiatives under ConsenSys.
