In a recent CNBC interview, ConsenSys CEO Joseph Lubin discussed strategies around Bitcoin and Ethereum, highlighting Michael Saylor's role in promoting Bitcoin.
Evaluation of Bitcoin and Ethereum
Lubin praised Michael Saylor for his clear and effective approach to promoting Bitcoin. "He did a really good job growing the brand and buying lots of Bitcoin," he stated. Lubin also emphasized that Bitcoin's value proposition is relevant now, whereas Ethereum has potential for the future.
SharpLink's ETH Acquisition
SharpLink confirmed that it now holds 205,634 ETH. Between June 28 and July 4, the company acquired $19.2 million worth of ETH tokens. Earlier, SharpLink announced plans to launch an Ethereum treasury and appointed Lubin as its board chairman.
ConsenSys's Future Plans
Lubin claims that Ethereum is 'scalable,' 'affordable,' and 'legal' enough in the US, but still lacks a significant number of applications for end users and enterprises. He also noted that the unattractiveness of using or issuing tokens may be connected to former SEC Chair Gary Gensler's actions.
Therefore, Lubin remains optimistic about Ethereum's future while emphasizing the need for more active usage of the platform and the creation of applications.
