Kaspa is making strides in the blockchain space with its Crescendo Hardfork update, increasing block speed to 10 per second.
Crescendo Hardfork Update
Kaspa's blockchain protocol has announced the expansive Crescendo Hardfork. This update aims to increase the network's block speed from 1 to 10 blocks per second.
Achievements on Testnet 10
Recently, Kaspa announced that Testnet 10 has successfully transitioned to 10 blocks per second. This milestone follows the Hardfork activation on March 7, 2025. The transition was confirmed by developer Coderofstuff, who noted the correctness of the upgrade logic following the validation of Initial Block Download and Post-Pruning processes.
Future Plans for Kaspa
Now, Kaspa plans to work on further innovations as outlined in their roadmap. This includes a feature freeze by March 20 and full mainnet activation aimed for late April/early May 2025. The transition to 10 BPS positions Kaspa as one of the fastest PoW blockchains, aided by the revolutionary GHOSTDAG protocol.
Kaspa's transition to the Crescendo Hardfork increases transaction speed to 10 blocks per second, cementing its place as one of the fastest PoW blockchains.
