Kaspa is taking significant steps to modernize its blockchain network by increasing block speed to 10 blocks per second (BPS) as part of the Crescendo Hardfork upgrade.
Objectives of the Crescendo Hardfork
The main aim of this upgrade is to increase the Kaspa network’s speed from 1 to 10 BPS. This change is targeted at enhancing performance and expanding the network.
Achievements on Testnet TN10
Kaspa announced the successful transition of Testnet 10 (TN10) to 10 BPS. This milestone is crucial for all blockchain processes following the Hardfork activation on March 7, 2025. Kaspa developer Coderofstuff confirmed the successful validation of the transition via platform X.
Future Plans of Kaspa Post-Upgrade
With the transition to 10 BPS completed, Kaspa will focus on the subsequent innovations laid out in the roadmap. The completion of the primary Hardfork version is planned by the end of March 2025. Kaspa aims to become one of the fastest PoW blockchains with the help of the GHOSTDAG protocol.
The breakthrough on Testnet TN10 has served as a significant achievement for Kaspa, paving the way for future improvements and confirming its status as a leading global decentralized blockchain infrastructure.
