Kaspa has implemented a significant upgrade, increasing network speed to 10 blocks per second, making it one of the fastest PoW blockchains.
Transition to 10 BPS
According to a recent announcement by Kaspa, Testnet 10 has fully transitioned to a speed of 10 blocks per second. This significantly speeds up the network processes following the Hardfork activation on March 7, 2025.
Verification and Validation
Kaspa developer known as Coderofstuff confirmed that the transition on TN10 includes thorough validation of elements such as Initial Block Download (IBD), Post-Pruning Behavior, and Transaction Ordering via KIP15. All these elements have passed the check for the update logic.
Upcoming Development Steps
After successfully transitioning to 10 BPS, Kaspa plans to implement other innovations from the roadmap. The completion of the main Hardfork is expected by the end of March. Mainnet activation is scheduled for late April or early May 2025.
The successful transition to 10 BPS marks a significant leap forward for Kaspa's blockchain platform, strengthening its infrastructure and positioning it among the leaders in PoW technologies.
