The Kaspa network has made a significant step in its development by completing the transition to 10 blocks per second (BPS) under the Crescendo Hardfork.
Transition to TN10
The Kaspa protocol has confirmed that Testnet 10 (TN10) has fully transitioned to 10 BPS, which is crucial in the context of the Hardfork. This update has been active since March 7, 2025.
Update Details
Kaspa developer Coderofstuff shared details of the transition process on TN10. It included extensive validation of Initial Block Download (IBD), Post-Pruning Behavior, and Transaction Ordering via KIP15, confirming its correctness.
Future Plans for Kaspa
Following the success of the transition to 10 BPS, Kaspa will continue to implement new innovations outlined in the roadmap. Among them is a feature freeze expected to be completed by March 20. The full mainnet activation is aimed for late April or early May 2025.
With the shift to 10 BPS, Kaspa is becoming one of the fastest PoW blockchains thanks to the revolutionary GHOSTDAG protocol that allows for parallel creation and confirmation of blocks.
