South Korean crypto exchange Korbit has partnered with Coinbase to enhance local users’ access to the Layer 2 blockchain solution, Base Chain.

As reported by Business Korea, the partnership will allow Korbit users to make direct deposits and withdrawals via the Base Chain network, enabling flexible asset transfers across chains.
Goals and Prospects of the Collaboration
In return, U.S.-based crypto exchange Coinbase will support Korbit through promotional activities, community events, and connecting it to the Base Chain ecosystem. The collaboration aims to advance on-chain technology in South Korea and broaden Base Chain’s reach in the region.

Coinbase’s Vice President of Business Development, Dan Kim, expressed enthusiasm about bringing more Korean traders into Base Chain’s on-chain ecosystem and stated plans to organize hackathons and educational events in Korea.
