Krafton, known for PUBG: Battlegrounds, plans to invest over 200 billion into more than a dozen game studios in 2025 as a step towards becoming a global publishing powerhouse.
Expanding Portfolio and AI
According to Bloomberg, CEO Kim Changhan stated that Krafton is broadening its lineup of original content and has continued AI work. Since Kim joined, the company hired 80 AI engineers and plans to add 35 more this year.
AI Integration in Gaming Industry
Krafton and Nvidia Corp. unveiled a new AI feature for realistic non-player characters (NPCs) at CES in Las Vegas last week. This feature, based on Nvidia's language model, will be available in Inzoi game in March.
Krafton's Expansion in India
In 2020, PUBG was banned in India but returned in 2023 thanks to Krafton. The company actively grows its business there with over 100 people working in the region, evaluating over 1,000 gaming studios for potential investments.
In 2025, Krafton continues to shape its strategy towards global dominance in the gaming industry by investing in AI innovations and expanding its international presence.
