Kraken Layer 2 Ink introduced innovations such as self-withdrawal to Ethereum and transaction verification supported by a security committee. This aims to improve user experience during the testnet phase, started on November 7. The mainnet is scheduled for launch in Q1 2025.
Optimism Innovations in DeFi
The Ink Network is powered by Optimism technology, focused on DeFi trading, lending, and borrowing. It is compatible with the Ethereum ecosystem and is built upon the open-source OP Stack codebase. The project received a grant of 25 million OP tokens from the Optimism Foundation at the start of 2024.
