Kyrgyzstan and the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, have announced their cooperation, covering crypto payment systems and educational initiatives in blockchain technology.
Partnership Agreement
On May 4, during the inaugural meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets, the Kyrgyz government reaffirmed its strategic partnership with Binance, based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed on April 3. President Sadyr Japarov stated: "I was pleased to meet Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, to discuss the development of blockchain technologies and digital assets in Kyrgyzstan. I am confident that our cooperation will open new horizons not only for the country but for the entire region."
Implementation of Crypto Payments
Under the signed agreement, Binance will assist Kyrgyzstan in establishing crypto payment infrastructure through Binance Pay. This will allow users and merchants in the country to make and accept crypto payments, facilitating cross-border financial flows.
Educational Programs
The agreement also includes plans to launch educational programs focused on blockchain, virtual assets, and cybersecurity. Binance Academy will collaborate with Kyrgyz institutions to educate government officials, regulators, and the general public, increasing digital literacy and preparing local professionals for roles in the growing blockchain and Web3 sectors.
The collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and Binance emphasizes the country's commitment to developing digital technologies and integrating them into its financial system, which could significantly impact the future of financial services and education in the region.
