In recent weeks, the Mainsail EVM team has made impressive strides in the platform's development. Here's a look at the new advancements.

Key Updates and Improvements

Since the last update, Mainsail EVM has seen over 100 new commits, including:

- Expanded RPC API support for compatibility with MetaMask, ethers.js, and other tools. - Switched to RLP transaction serialization, adapting the EIP-1559 format. - Upgradeable multipayment contract with UUPS support. - Transitioned from gwei to wei for more precise gas calculations. - Enhanced HTTP API for smoother developer interaction. - Legacy Core V3 support in preparation for the upcoming public testnet launch.

MetaMask Integration: PoC Demo

One of the most exciting developments is the MetaMask Proof-of-Concept demonstration. It showcases seamless connection to a local Mainsail node, allowing users to effortlessly sign transactions. In the upcoming testnet, users will be able to import their V3 devnet private keys and access their funds.

What's Next?

We are in the final stages of preparation for the launch of Mainsail EVM's first public testnet. Our current tasks include:

- Finalizing historical data access via RPC. - Adding log blooms to block headers for better indexing. - Intensive polishing and testing to ensure a smooth launch.

Once these steps are complete, we'll release the testnet with ARK Vault and ARK Scan app support and full MetaMask compatibility.

The Mainsail EVM team continues to push forward, with the launch of the first public testnet just around the corner. Stay tuned for more important updates.
