A new NFT collection featuring Donald Trump has been officially launched, offering a unique batch of 160 items. These NFTs are developed on the Bitcoin blockchain using the Ordinals protocol, making them a notable addition to the digital asset ecosystem.
Launch of Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards
The new edition, named Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards, uses Alpha sats, the first satoshis from a Bitcoin block, adding exclusivity. Secondary listings of Trump-inspired Ordinals range from 0.25 BTC to 9.8 BTC on the Magic Eden platform.
Claim Period for Mugshot Edition
The Mugshot Edition of the collection includes 100 NFT cards, and users who submitted their Bitcoin wallets can claim these through the NFT marketplace Magic Eden. As of the latest update, 19 of the available 119 ordinals had been minted. The claim period closes on January 31.
Trump’s NFT History
This is the first Ordinals collection tied to Trump, but it's not his first venture into NFTs. Previously, he launched several collections, including the “Trump Digital Trading Cards” series. Recent data shows the first Trump-themed NFT edition recorded 2,180 sales over the past 90 days, a 71.1% increase, while the second edition saw a 151% rise, totaling 4,579 transactions.
The launch of the new NFT collection featuring Donald Trump underscores the growing interest in digital assets associated with his name, despite a recent downturn in the Ordinals market. This event highlights the prominent involvement of well-known figures in the world of blockchain technologies.
