Mercuryo platform has announced the launch of on-ramp services for Everstake, allowing users easier access to staking.
Partnership of Mercuryo and Everstake
Mercuryo announced a partnership with Everstake, a major global provider of staking and blockchain solutions. This will make it easier for Everstake users to access the company's services. Petr Kozyakov, co-founder and CEO of Mercuryo, stated, "We are delighted with the launch of these on-ramps for ETH staking. Staking in the Ethereum ecosystem has a bright future, as evidenced by the impressive growth in ETH staking that we've witnessed on the Everstake platform over the past year."
Growth of Ethereum Staking
According to various sources shared by Everstake, Ethereum has transitioned to a Proof-of-Stake consensus, leading to a 130% increase in the number of active validators, from 456,909 to 1,052,014 since 2022. The total amount of staked ETH has grown by 15.5%, from 29,216,256 in January 2024 to 33,745,280 in January 2025. The number of Ethereum wallets has increased by 44.7% from October 2022 to February 2025.
Advantages of Transition to Proof-of-Stake
ETH staking is crucial for the Ethereum ecosystem and is considered environmentally friendly, as it uses the more energy-efficient PoS mechanism instead of PoW. This transition has made Ethereum one of the fastest-growing and most energy-efficient blockchain networks, maintaining security and decentralization.
The partnership between Mercuryo and Everstake opens new opportunities for Ethereum users, enhancing staking access and supporting the growth of the blockchain ecosystem.
