The new lab consists of 11 employees, among whom seven are of Chinese origin. These researchers, many of whom graduated from prestigious Chinese universities, have gained recognition in AI technology.
For instance, four of the new hires came from Tsinghua University, which is often compared to MIT.

The team includes highly qualified professionals, such as: - Chang Huiwen, a Princeton graduate who previously worked at OpenAI. - Lin Ji, who completed his PhD at MIT and has experience working at companies such as Google and Nvidia. - Sun Pei, who focuses on research at DeepMind and previously worked at Google.
Each of the new hires will bring unique skills and experience to the Meta project.
