METABORA, a casual game developer and blockchain project operator, has announced a strategic partnership with LINE NEXT aimed at expanding access to Web3 games through the Dapp Portal.
Partnership between METABORA and LINE NEXT
METABORA (Co-CEOs Lim Young-Jun and Choi Se-hoon) and LINE NEXT (CEO Youngsu Ko) have signed a cooperation agreement. This partnership aims for METABORA to distribute Web3 games via the Dapp Portal integrated into the LINE Messenger.
Functionality of Dapp Portal
The Dapp Portal is a platform built on the KAIA ecosystem that offers Mini Dapps, enabling users to enjoy various features and games without needing to install separate applications. Since its launch in January this year, the platform has gathered over 100 million users.
Expansion of BORA Token Utility
METABORA plans to expand the utility of its BORA token within the LINE Messenger Mini Dapp ecosystem. The company intends to implement a payment infrastructure for purchasing in-game items as well as utilizing Gas Abstraction technology, allowing users to make purchases without needing KAIA tokens to cover gas fees. This feature is expected to be fully implemented in the second half of the year.
The partnership between METABORA and LINE NEXT promises significant developments in the Web3 gaming space, offering new opportunities for users and laying the groundwork for broader integration of the BORA token within the Web3 ecosystem.
