MetaMask has announced its expansion plan, which includes support for Bitcoin, Solana, and the elimination of gas fees.
Integration of Bitcoin and Solana
MetaMask announced plans to integrate with the Bitcoin network by the third quarter and support Solana in May. This marks the first non-EVM blockchain to be supported by the platform.
Elimination of Gas Fees
The platform plans updates to completely remove gas fees for users. In the near future, users will be able to pay transaction fees using any tokens they hold.

MetaMask is also rolling out a new home screen and a feature to manage multiple Secret Recovery Phrases from one wallet. The company introduced their new MetaMask Card, integrated with the Mastercard network.
