MetaMask, one of the oldest crypto wallets in the market, has announced new features to stay ahead of its competitors.

New Features of MetaMask

MetaMask announced that it is preparing to expand support for the Bitcoin and Solana networks, and plans to remove gas fees as part of the updated 2025 roadmap. This new update will allow users to complete confirmation and clearing transactions with a single click, saving both time and gas fees, allowing them to trade more efficiently.

Bitcoin and Solana Support

MetaMask also stated that it is preparing to add support for Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL). Full Bitcoin support is planned to begin in the third quarter of this year, while Solana support is planned to begin in May. This means that users can keep various crypto assets in one place. All MetaMask users will be able to buy, sell, trade, and interact with dapps across the entire Solana ecosystem.

The MetaMask team also announced that the MetaMask debit card will be available in select states in the US starting mid-March. The card has been in production for several months and was initially only available to users in the UK and EU. It was stated that the company's new logo is included on MetaMask Cards, which are valid in some countries.

MetaMask continues to expand its features and capabilities to provide users with a more integrated and efficient cryptocurrency experience.
