CEO of Metaplanet, Simon Gerovich, stated that the company spent $238.7 million to acquire 2,205 BTC. This has made Metaplanet the fifth largest holder of Bitcoin in the world, with an average price of $108,237 per BTC.

Future Plans and Goals

Metaplanet aims to accumulate over 210,000 BTC by the end of 2027. The latest acquisition of 2,205 BTC marks the initial step in the company's long-term strategy to increase its Bitcoin assets.

Metaplanet's Financial Results

The second quarter of 2025 proved to be successful for Metaplanet, as the company reported revenue of 1.1 billion yen (approximately $7.6 million), marking a 42.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
