Metaplanet Actively Grows Bitcoin Assets, Surpassing Tesla

The Japanese company Metaplanet Inc. has made significant strides in increasing its Bitcoin reserves, surpassing Tesla and becoming the seventh-largest holder of Bitcoin.

Update on Bitcoin Holdings

According to a press release on June 26, Metaplanet acquired an additional 1,234 BTC for $132.7 million. This brings its total Bitcoin holdings to 12,345 BTC, valued at nearly $1.21 billion.

Strategy for Increasing Bitcoin Holdings

Earlier in June, the company announced its Accelerated 2025-2027 Bitcoin Plan, aiming to reach 210,000 BTC by 2027. This week, Metaplanet approved a capital injection of $5 billion for its US subsidiary, focusing on expansion in Florida.

Bitcoin Price Dynamics

The price of Bitcoin has jumped more than 1% in the past 24 hours, trading at $107,781. Meanwhile, trading volume increased by 10% during this period.
