Metaplanet has enhanced its holdings by purchasing 2,205 BTC for approximately $238.7 million, bringing its total to 15,555 BTC. The average purchase price was about $108,237 per Bitcoin, as noted by CEO Simon Gerovich.
Financial Results and Strategy
For Q2 2025, Metaplanet reported revenue of 1.1 billion yen (around $7.6 million), marking a growth of 42.4% compared to the same quarter last year. Gerovich highlighted that the company's strategy aims for sustainable and efficient growth under a Bitcoin standard, with a long-term goal of accumulating over 210,000 BTC by the end of 2027.

At the time of publication, Metaplanet’s stock had risen by 7%, reflecting a 15.73% monthly increase and a 345.98% growth year-to-date. Bitcoin was trading at $108,850, indicating a 0.66% gain over the past 24 hours.
