Metaplanet, known as 'Asia's MicroStrategy', made a significant purchase, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to 15,555 BTC.

Increase in Metaplanet's Bitcoin Holdings

According to a press release issued on July 7, Metaplanet acquired 2,205 BTC for $238.7 million, raising its total Bitcoin holdings to 15,555 BTC. The purchase was made at approximately $108,237 per BTC.

Company's Accumulation Strategy

In the last quarter, Metaplanet reported a BTC yield of 129.4% and 416.6% year-to-date. CEO Simon Gerovich emphasized the company's commitment to continue accumulating BTC to generate value for its shareholders.

Changes in Metaplanet Stock

Following the announcement of plans to raise $5.4 billion to hold 210,000 BTC by 2027, Metaplanet's stock reacted with an increase. The stock closed up 0.45% at 1,552 yen.

Metaplanet continues to actively accumulate Bitcoin, strengthening its position in the market and positively affecting the company's stock.
