On July 7, Metaplanet made an official announcement regarding its latest Bitcoin purchase. The company acquired 42,466 Bitcoin for 400 million Japanese yen, equivalent to $2.5 million. This strategic move demonstrates Metaplanet's commitment to expanding its crypto portfolio.

Following this recent acquisition, Metaplanet now possesses a total of 203,734 BTC. The firm acquired these Bitcoins at an average price of approximately 10 million yen ($62,000) per BTC. Notably, the average purchase price stands at about 7% above the prevailing BTC price at the time of this update.
