In his latest tweet, Saylor congratulated the Metaplanet team and its CEO Simon Gerovich on successfully acquiring 1,112 Bitcoins for approximately $117.2 million, translating to around $105,435 per coin. He also noted the notable 26% increase in the company’s shares following this announcement.
Metaplanet's Achievements and Future Plans
Metaplanet reported a year-to-date Bitcoin yield of 266.1%, raising its total holdings to 10,000 BTC, surpassing its initial goal of reaching this number by the end of 2025. Looking ahead, the company plans to acquire 21,000 Bitcoins by the end of 2026, aligning with Bitcoin's total hard cap of 21 million.

Recently, Metaplanet announced the issuance of 555 million MS warrants, which aim to raise approximately 770.9 billion yen for additional Bitcoin purchases. This marks the largest stock acquisition right issuance in the history of the Japanese capital market.
