The Strategy Company, led by Michael Saylor, recently purchased 6,220 bitcoins for $740 million, marking another step in their long-term accumulation strategy.
Bitcoin Acquisition Deal
On July 20, the Strategy Company confirmed the acquisition of 6,220 bitcoins for $739.8 million, with an average price of $118,940 per BTC. As a result, the total portfolio now holds 607,770 bitcoins worth $43.6 billion. In July alone, Strategy accumulated 10,455 BTC, and in June, 17,075 BTC.
Company's Financing of Purchases
The financing of these deals is accomplished through issuing shares and convertible bonds. For this transaction, $736.4 million was raised through the sale of 1.63 million MSTR shares. Thus, Strategy utilizes complex financial instruments to expand its bitcoin portfolio.
Valuation and Future Expectations
The market capitalization of Strategy (MSTR) has reached $105 billion, exceeding the real value of their bitcoins at $62.6 billion by 70%. This discrepancy raises questions among analysts about the alignment with current market valuations. Experts' forecasts regarding bitcoin's development oscillate between growth and correction amid macroeconomic factors.
Recent actions by Strategy emphasize its commitment to accumulating bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset. However, existing questions about financing techniques and asset valuations require careful consideration.
