MicroStrategy on Nasdaq 100
MicroStrategy was added to the Nasdaq 100 following the December 13 announcement. It will join before the trading day begins on December 23. The company is now among the 100 largest on Nasdaq by market capitalization.
MARA's Ambitions
MARA Holdings CEO Fred Thiel congratulated Michael Saylor on MicroStrategy's success, noting that MARA is working hard to follow suit. The company recently invested over $600 million in Bitcoin.
Changes in Nasdaq 100 Index
With the addition of MicroStrategy, Illumina, Super Micro Computer, and Moderna will be removed from the index. MARA Holdings also aims to join this prestigious list, voicing plans to strengthen U.S. positions in Bitcoin mining.
