Movement Network Foundation has announced the launch of Movement Public Mainnet Beta, offering permissionless smart contract deployment and a canonical Movement bridge.
Mainnet Launch
The Movement mainnet went live on March 10 at 8:00 AM PST, providing users with access to key features, including the LayerZero-backed canonical bridge. Through this bridge, users can transfer MOVE tokens and other major cryptocurrencies to the Movement chain.
Network Functionality and Features
The Movement network is the first Move-based chain to settle on Ethereum, offering permissionless smart contract deployment and full user onboarding. Block states will be attested and recorded on Ethereum as part of the Fast Finality Settlement. This opens new opportunities for developers, no longer requiring approval to build in the Movement ecosystem.
Partnerships and Prospects
The Cornucopia program provides Movement Network with day-one liquidity across BTC, ETH, MOVE, and stablecoin assets. With strategic partnerships with industry leaders, the network is poised to support DeFi applications. Cooper Scanlon noted this as a market confidence validation.
Movement Network opens new horizons for Move-based technology, providing developers and users with innovations built on the solid foundation of Ethereum.
