MTN Nigeria has unveiled the 'From Africa, For Africa' accelerator programme, aimed at supporting and developing startups across the continent.
Programme Goals and Structure
The programme aims to empower growth-stage startups, providing access to resources like funding and mentorship. It spans 12 weeks with a combination of in-person and virtual sessions. Participants will refine their products and prepare for market expansion.
Support for Startups
Startups can receive a grant pool of ₦100 million, access to MTN’s infrastructure, technical advisory, and go-to-market support. Lynda Saint Nwafor, MTN Nigeria’s director, emphasized the program's significance: 'This is not just another accelerator, but a launchpad to greatness.'
Who Should Apply?
The programme is open to startups with working products in fintech, agritech, healthtech, edtech, e-commerce, AI, or cybersecurity. Applications from companies addressing challenges in underserved communities are particularly encouraged.
