NBA Africa has announced 10 startups from seven African countries that will pitch their products at Demo Day at NBA headquarters in New York City on September 25.

Below are the 10 startups competing for the four prize-winning spots: * **Backrest** (Rwanda) provides a wearable technology solution called WristWrist for cashless payments at events. * **Buzza** (Nigeria) helps sports organizations with digital solutions to manage and increase revenue. * **Festival Coins** (Nigeria) offers an event registration and ticketing platform for events in Nigeria and Ghana. * **Gara** (Côte d'Ivoire) distributes video games and comics tailored for local markets. * **HustleSasa** (Kenya) provides services such as payment processing and data management for live events. * **Naemo Global** (Nigeria) uses AI for its scouting platform Afriskaut. * **Power to Girls Foundation** (Ghana) launches My Power App to support girls and women. * **Salubata** (Nigeria) creates modular shoes from plastic waste. * **UBR VR** (Egypt) offers localized virtual reality experiences. * **Vambo Technologies** (South Africa) provides an AI-based translation and language learning platform.
Demo Day and Prizes
A panel of experts will determine the four winning companies that will receive financial support and mentorship, as well as the opportunity to participate in development programs facilitated by NBA Africa or its partners.

The four prize-winning startups will be announced at Demo Day. The “Triple-Double: NBA Africa Startup Accelerator” initiative supports Africa’s tech ecosystem and fosters the growth of the next generation of African entrepreneurs.
