At the Bangkok conference, NEAR Protocol unveiled an ambitious project to develop the largest AI model in the world.

Creation of the Largest AI Model

NEAR Protocol plans to develop an AI model with 1.4 trillion parameters, 3.5 times larger than Meta's current Llama model. The development will involve crowdsourced contributions, with users able to train smaller models via the NEAR AI Research Hub.

Monetization and Data Protection

The project's business model includes monetizing the AI model through token sales to cover training and computational costs. Co-founder Illia Polosukhin emphasized the feasibility of securing $160 million. The model will use Encrypted Trusted Execution Environments to protect data privacy.

AI Assistant: Breakthrough Features

The conference introduced an AI Assistant showcasing NEAR's AI infrastructure capabilities. In the future, it will integrate with Web2 services, offering unique cross-blockchain asset swap technology.

NEAR Protocol's project illustrates a commitment to integrating traditional and decentralized technologies, opening new horizons for AI.
